By participating in class at Artistic Edge Dance Center all dancers and their families agree to the following policies. Waivers must be signed on the Parent Portal.
Participation Policy Waiver Terms
I hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless Artistic Edge Dance Center, its owners, members, advisors, Board of Directors, and all employees and agents of these parties from all liabilities, suits, claims and/or demands of any kind or nature, legal or financial, whether caused in any way by the negligence or not, arising from the participation in or observation of any Artistic Edge Dance Center activity for injuries to any person or property, whether on or off the premises. The student/participant named above does voluntarily participate in any and all Artistic Edge Dance Center activities and that the student/participant and I understand that certain risks are inherent to and from participation and involvement with Artistic Edge Dance Center and in its various formal and informal activities. These activities include but are not limited to dance class, rehearsals and performance.
Artistic Edge Dance Center is not responsible for any lost or stolen property, at any time. Anyone found to be violating any of the rules, codes of conduct, or found to be disruptive to either another individual or group may be asked to leave the premises or off-site location at any time and be refused reentrance without any full or partial refund.
I hereby irrevocably grant to Artistic Edge Dance Center perpetually, exclusively, and for all media throughout the world (including print, non theatrical, home video, CD-ROM, internet and any other electronic medium presently in existence or invented in the future), the right to use and incorporate (alone or together with other materials), in whole or in part, photographs, sound bites or video footage taken as a result of participation in Artistic Edge Dance Center activities.
I hereby authorize Artistic Edge Dance Center, its owners, members, Board of Directors, and all employees and agents of these parties to act for the student/participant named above according to their best judgment in providing or arranging for emergency care in any emergency circumstance requiring medical attention. I request and authorize that in my absence the student/participant named above be admitted to any hospital or medical facility for diagnosis and treatment. I request and authorize physicians, dentists, and staff, duly licensed as Doctors of Medicine/Osteopathy or Doctors of Dentistry or other such licensed technicians or nurses, to perform any diagnostic procedures, treatment procedures, operative procedures and x-ray treatment of the student/participant named below.
Payment Policy Waiver Terms
TUITION:
Tuition is due by the 1st class of every month. A late fee of $10.00 will be applied to all past due accounts on the 11th of every month.
All fees are NON-REFUNDABLE - including but not limited to: Registration, Tuition, Spring Performance Participation, Costume, and performance tickets. Credits may be given only for unused portions of advanced payment plans if dancers must stop due to injury. Credits will only be held for one calendar year, after 1 year any remaining credit will be forfeited.
Refunds or credits will not be given for missed classes, classses cancelled due to inclement weather, or scheduled vacation breaks. Dancers may makeup any classes missed due to illness or inclement weather. Scheduled breaks do not receive makeup classes.
Tuition is based on our “dance year’s” yearly total with payments broken into 9 installments or two semester installments for your convenience. A full tuition is due from August through May, with the exception of September's tuition which is included in the August’s payment. Students will not be charged extra for months with 5 classes, nor will monthly tuition rates be prorated for months with less than 4 classes, scheduled holidays, or missed classes. Students may take make up classes for any class they miss due to illness or conflict. There are no makeup classes for scheduled holiday closings.
AEDC Requires 1 month notice for withdrawal from classes.
PAYMENTS:
Payments can be made online on your parent portal account using the email address provided when you registered. You will be billed monthly via an email invoice.
*Automatic recurring payments can be set up via your parent portal. *Additional fees may apply
Payment may also be made at the studio with credit card, cash or check.
*** As of 6/1/22 All credit card payments will be subject to additional credit card fees currently 3.05% + $0.30
Please note: There will be additional charges for recital participation (in November) and costumes (split into 2 payments December & January)
Communication Policy
All important communication will be sent via email. Please use the email address you check most often for your parent portal.
It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to regularly check and thoroughly read all emails from AEDC to be aware of all studio events, activities, and closures.. AEDC will email all important information in our Monthly Newsletters as well as specific event emails. Information may also be viewed on our studio televisions, on your parent portal, through your AEDC App and on our website ArtisticEdgeDance.com. You may view old emails on your AEDC App or Parent Portal.
It is the parent’s or adult students’ responsibility to regularly check their e-mail and portal for important information.
Parents or adult students must keep their portal information current, including any address, telephone number, or e-mail address change. Email address changes will remove previous emails found in your portal.
AEDC is not be responsible for a family not being informed of AEDC events if these changes are not updated in your portal or parents do not read emails or check their portals or app.
