Instructor -
Holly Lee started her dance journey at the age of 3 years old at The Dance Dept in Irmo, SC under Directorship Lauren Metts. During this time she performed various styles of dance competitively; such as Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. She was part of the advanced ballet pointe class where she performed top roles in ballet productions such as "Peter Pan" and "Alice in Wonderland". During her freshman year in high school she performed with Spirit of America under Mike Miller's Directorship in The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She has taken classes from renowned choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Stephen "Twitch" Boss, Allison Holker, Laurieann Gibson, and more.
After graduation in 2009, Holly pursued her love for dance as an instructor / choreographer at her home studio, where she resided for 10 years. She was a choreographer / instructor for ages 3 years old - 18 years old in a mixture of combo recreational classes to senior Company teams. During this time she continued her dance training by taking classes at Broadway Dance Center in NYC, attending various dance conventions, and attended The Dance Teachers Summit in NYC. She also learned the art of music editing where she became one of the studio's music editors.
In 2019, Holly moved to Greenville, SC with her daughter, now AEDC Company Member, Paislee, to run her family's business. After almost a 4 year break, she is thrilled to be back pursuing her passion for dance again. Holly has a natural talent for teaching and mentoring dancers of all ages. No matter the age or level, she understands the importance of being flexible in teaching methods to be sure all dancers have a clear understanding of what is being taught. Her goal is to have dancers leaving her classes feeling great about themselves and with a desire to return. Her experience with all sides of the spectrum (business, teacher, choreographer, parent) allow her to be a well versatile member at AEDC.
