Sally Prewitt

Sally Prewitt is a versatile and passionate dance instructor with extensive experience in various dance styles, including Modern Dance, Jazz Dance, Classical Ballet, Tap Dance, Broadway Styles, and Dance Composition. Before moving to SC in 2024 Sally taught at the Center of Dance Arts in Morganville, NJ, where she organizes and teaches dance lessons for students aged 3 to 18 and adults with special needs. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Sally choreographs combinations and assists in training competition team dancers.

Sally also works as part of the backstage crew for the Groove National Dance Competition, helping to ensure the smooth running of weekend-long dance competitions across the country. Her responsibilities include setting up the stage with Marley floors, lights, trussing, and backdrops, ensuring a safe environment for all participants. Moreover, she serves as a substitute teacher for ESS in Marlboro, NJ, where she mentors students, follows set lesson plans, and completes daily reports.

In addition to her professional work, Sally has demonstrated a strong commitment to service and leadership. As a Dance Class Assistant from 2019 to 2022, she assisted in various college-level dance courses. She also served as the Treasurer for the It’s On Us Wilkes University Chapter, organizing events and fundraising to spread awareness about sexual assault on college campuses. Furthermore, she was an active member and Social Media Director of the Sociology & Criminology Club from 2019 to 2022 and performed as a Dance Team member from 2019 to 2020. Sally also participated in the Inside Out Prison Exchange Program in Fall 2019, where she engaged with male prisoners at SCI Retreat, contributing to their educational development.
