Michelle Malone began her dance training at the age of 9 at Gotta Dance Studios in Seville, Ohio, under the guidance of Francine LeRoy. She danced competitively for many years across the US and was a member of the Tour de Force Entertainment Company, performing in shows and festivals across Italy in 1992. After moving to South Carolina later that year, Michelle continued her dance journey at the Greenville Ballet and performed with the Greenville Spinners Basketball dance team.

Michelle attended the University of South Carolina, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and was a member of the dance company under Susan Anderson. Following college, she continued dancing and teaching in the Upstate region and briefly in Detroit, Michigan. In Detroit, she participated in the Tapology tap festival in Flint, Michigan, an intensive tap workshop featuring renowned tappers such as Diane Walker, Jason Samuels Smith, and Derrick Grant.

An active member of the local theater community, Michelle has choreographed tap numbers for productions such as Singing in the Rain and Mary Poppins at Spartanburg Little Theater, and several numbers for Godspell at FIRE Theatre Company in Fountain Inn. She even performed in Bye Bye Birdie with the Mill Town Players. Michelle is also a proud mother of two fabulous daughters, Katie and Megan.
