Josie Moore
Josie is a versatile and promising artist hailing from Newberry, South Carolina. Her early dance training included attending the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, where she laid a solid foundation for her artistic journey. During the summer months, Josie further expanded her horizons with advanced training at prestigious institutions such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago.
Josie’s diverse dance background spans Classical Ballet, Modern Dance, and Musical Theatre. She earned her degree in Contemporary Dance from The University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), where she had the opportunity to perform notable works, including Robert Battle’s Battle Field and MASS. Josie also collaborated with acclaimed artists Ashley Lindsey and Garen Scribner on several short film projects.
Beyond her performance career, Josie is passionate about teaching dance to younger students and is actively developing her skills as a choreographer. Since graduating, she has delved into the exploration of dance on film, continuing to push the boundaries of her craft and expand her artistic repertoire.
